I know I've posted this square before but it's a pleasing place. And anyway, back problems mean I don't walk as far as I did even 2 weeks ago so I was pleased to walk this far today.
Maybe about to have a spot of drizzle!

A walk to a class. I escaped!
Walkway above the M40 motorway ring road! Yes I know, the same name as the London ring road!

Not sure what the purpose of the lighthouse is but there is (or maybe was - thanks to Covid 19 and acess only by lift) a restaurant up there. On the ground are two of the few remaining sections of track from the old tramway system.

This has crumbled into the sea. It had ceased to be the coast path some years before this shot (it was moved some way inland). My last visit here (2018) and this would have been impossible to take a shot of. It had all gone!
Filthy weather for half an hour. Better on large.

Generally a pleasant day but for half an hour a snow storm rolled in sharply and I saw it coming and prayed it would be over quickly (I was in t-shirt gear). Thankfully it was short-lived, but a warning to the likes of me that you must always be prepared in the mountains! Even for a snow storm in May!

Living in an east-facing flat near the top of a high-rise block in 2012/13, I saw lots of sunrises - all very different from each other!

Sierra de La Cabrera. The Four Towers, Madrid can be seen as a stub on the horizon.
(and because I taught at the top of all of them, I also recognise La Torre Europa and La Tore Picasso in this shot).

I liked the cloud formations that day. The sharp, strong and sudden downpour hit the town of Grampound, in mid Cornwall, as I recall.

I had just eaten my packed lunch when I thought it made sense to get off the mountain as I didn't like the look of the clouds and the light. So I scrambled down that slab on the left and made for lower ground. I still got caught in a (May) snow storm!
