High above the beach by the side of the steep path.
A lazy, hazy summer's afternoon.
The cliffs seen here are called The Knavocks. No idea why.

Enjoying itself hugely. It had an amazing appetite and devoured this daffodil almost before I got my phone out of my pocket!
Best on 'z'!
By sheer coincidence Marie-claire Gallet has also posted a photo of this insect. You can see it on explore. She knows the name so thank you Marie-claire!!!

They only open this fully on the hottest of days and when the sun is at its highest; an hour or two at most. And because Spain adheres to Central European time, this means between 3 and 5 pm! They really are quite small; miniature wild tulips!

aNNa Schramm solved the puzzle as to what tree these catkins come from.
They are the male catkins of the Populus Tremula (Lt), European Aspen (Eng), Zitterpappel (Gm), Peuplier tremble (Fr) or Alamo (Sp).
Thank you aNNa!

They only open at the height of the strongest sun and when the temperature gets really hot, sometimes for an hour or so only. I have seen them closed on a sunny and warm day - it just wasn't quite hot enough. This is not photoshopped or edited in any major way. The tulip colours and the grey of the degraded granite were as seen.

An oldie, from 2012, first shown on ipernity in 2016. I didn't see it as HFF potential then but do now, seeing as I didn't have many fence shots early on!
