It takes a lot of skill by the operators for it not to turn into a disaster

I agree. But still, fingers crossed!

Me recuerda a lo que nos contaban de la Torre de Babel. ¿Será porque en ese campo se hablaran muchos idiomas o por el conglomerado de grúas?

I don't recall 'conglomerates of cranes' in the Bible, José Manuel!!

The re-construction of Real Madrid's football stadium (easily the most famous football club in the world).
OK, 'soccer' to you, Sarah!
As it's only a stone's throw away from where I live (well, 20 minutes walk), I am keeping a (fairly loose) photogtaphic record of it's development.
I started an album recently; www.ipernity.com/doc/2247598/album/1279798

Building is going on on spite of the virus!

Building work didn't stop even at the height of the 1st wave, Gudrun. They continued to modernise the flat next to me throughout, at considerable noise and mess and the workers never wore masks nor washed their hands frequently, and were smoking and spitting and shouting and whistling, all high risk activities that builders seem especially prone to! I was inititially horrified to see them sharing large bottles of beer! But I soon had to get used to THAT sight!

Yes, it was the same here, the next house is also being renovated and work never stopped. The behaviour of workers was also similar though that depends on nationality. I had the impression that (south)eastern Europeans were especially careless.

It's hard to categorise abuse of common sense by ethnicity or age. Stupidity crosses all divisions.

I see that this important building is still on track!!! I read about the behaviour of the construction workers - it's no wonder why there was a second spike, and with them doing that - there's going to be a third and fourth etc.

A maremagnum of irons and cranes. I feel affection for this stadium because my grandfather took me to see my first soccer games. Have a nice Weekend Andy.

I saw my first match here in 1982. My brother- in-law was a junior RM player and later a socio. So, when I holidayed to see my sister in the early and mid eighties, I went to matches. I remember one spectacular goal from Hugo Sanchez!
Now, I have to love RM even more ... because I taught there!
But more than that, my girlfriend's sister is married to a very famous Real Madrid basketball star,
If you want to know more Anton, you can ask me privately!
