Treaga Hill, Portreath (with heather).

Treaga Hill, Portreath (with heather).
Another fine day. I was lucky with these in the summer of 2012.
Wonky frame! My excuse is that at the time, Picasa 3 editing was new to me and I didn't realise that the straightening of the horizon needed to be done before selecting a frame!
On the other side of the beach, almost in a line and from bottom to top are 1. The Monkey Hut, destroyed in violent storms but always quickly re-built, www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2SZVBmjHq0 2. The Pepper Pot - the huer's lookout in the days of the pilchard industry and 3. Nancekuke Nuclear Research Centre (or nerve gas trial centre - rumours abounded then and abound now) closed for decades but still top secret and out of bounds api.parliament.uk/historic-hansard/commons/2000/jan/18/nancekuke-base
