Morning in the Rockies
This was the last morning of our backpacking trip in the Colorado Rockies. We had heavy rain during the night and had our equipment spread out to dry while we wandered around taking photos of the sunrise. We were camped by Cathedral Lake but these reflections were in a small pond nearby.

This was a small pond near our camp in the Colorado Rockies the last morning of our stay there.
The Trail to Electric Pass
This was part of the trail to Electric Pass from our campsite at Cathedral Lake. We were well above the tree line here and on our way to 13,600 feet (4145 meters). The pass is probably so-named because of the electrical storms there. The inset shows the valley up which we hiked to Cathedral Lake.
Looking Back
This is the valley up which we hiked to Cathedral Lake in the Colorado Rockies. Our trail is just visible near the middle of the photo.

This small pond was near our campsite in the meadows under Cathedral Peak. After a night of pouring rain we woke up to this beautiful sunny morning.
After the Rain
The last night of our backpacking adventure we had heavy rain. My brother's tent, quite old, leaked badly and the four of us ended up in our small tent for the night. The next morning was sunny and pleasant and we got most of the gear dried out before hiking out.
