Autumn Aspen
This is a phone photo taken last autumn in the Colorado Rockies and the Indian Peaks Wilderness. The road is the road to the Fourth of July trailhead where I hiked to Diamond Lakes with my cousin and his son.
The hike is 9.5 miles in and out with 1200 feet of elevation gain and Upper Diamond Lake is at an altitude of 11,738 feet. I did not have a camera along, so the photos I took were with my phone. I apologize for their poor quality.
The cousin with whom I hiked is an avid hiker who has climbed many of Colorado's 14,000 foot peaks. He used his phone to do a short video of our hike which is posted on Youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsqynrTIhPQ
Middle Diamond Lake
Middle Diamond Lake is in the Indian Peaks Wilderness in the Colorado Rockies. I hiked with my cousin and his son to the three lakes visited by the Diamond Lake trail.
Diamond Lake Trail
I was in Colorado this past autumn and hiked in the Rockies with a cousin and his son. We did the Diamond Lake trail in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. I did not have a camera along but took a few photos with my phone including these panoramas. This is of the meadows near Diamond Lake, but we hiked beyond this to Upper Diamond Lake. The hike is 9.5 miles in and out with 1200 feet of elevation gain and Upper Diamond Lake is at an altitude of 11,738 feet..

Upper Diamond Lake
Last autumn I was in Colorado and hiked with a cousin and his son in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. We hiked the Diamond Lake trail to Upper Diamond Lake, just visible in this photo. The peak behind is Mount Jasper. The hike was about nine miles in and out with over a thousand feet of elevation gain.
Mountain Morning
Taken on the last morning of last summer's backpacking trip in the Colorado Rockies. My brother, his grandson, I and one of my grandsons had gone for a week's hiking and backpacking to Cathedral Lake and Electric Pass.
Mountain Morning
Taken near Cathedral Lake in the Colorado Rockies last summer while backpacking there with a brother and two grandsons, one of his and one of mine.
Electric Pass
This is Electric Pass in the Colorado Rockies at 13,600 feet of elevation (4115 m). I was there with a grandson as part of a backpacking trip last summer.
Cathedral Lake
Our camp is barely visible on the lower left of the photo. We were hiking to Electric Pass at 13,600 feet of elevation when the photo was taken and were camped near Cathedral Lake in the Colorado Rockies.
Willow Pass
Taken on the fourth morning of our 2020 backpacking trip in the Colorado Rockies, we were on our way up Willow Pass and looking back when the photo was taken. Willow Pass was the fourth of five 12,000 foot passes we did on the trip and so we had one more to do that day as we hiked out to the trailhead. We had camped in the valley below Buckskin Pass the night before and the trail we had followed from our camp to the pass is visible in the lower right of the photo.
