Traveling from Bergen to Trolltunga we hiked a short trail near Odda. The trail took us along the river Bonduselva up to en alpine lake, Bondusvatnet. The trail was very busy, as were most of the places we visited in Norway, but it was a pleasant opportunity to stretch our legs and a nice ending to a relaxed day of traveling.

This was taken in the Northern Ireland town of Greyabbey. We were ought exploring the Ards Peninsula in County Down and stopped in the town to visit the ruins of the abbey there. This house with its flowers caught our eye.

When in Northern Ireland recently we spent a day exploring the Ards Peninsula in County Down. The photo was taken in the town of Greyabbey where we visited the ruins of the old Grey Abbey. The flowers were in the town where we parked our vehicle.

Steindalsfossen is referred to as the "most popular waterfall in Norway." If this is true it is the true for two reasons, it is along Route 7, an important road, and it has a walkway that leads behind the falls and on to a viewing platform. We were on our way from Bergen to Trolltunga when we stopped to do the walk, take photos and have a coffee.

Steindalsfossen is a waterfall along Route 7 near Steine, Norway. one is able to walk behind the waterfall on a walkway. On our way from Bwergen to Trolltunga we stopped for the walk and a coffee before going on to our next destination.

Originally built in 1150 A.D. this stave church was located then near Sogn, Norway. It was moved to to its present location in 1883 when threatened with destruction after a new church was built in Sohn. In 1992 the Fantoft Church was destroyed by arson, part of series of church burnings by members of the Norwegian black metal movement. The man who burned this church was convicted of four other church burnings in the Bergen area. The church was completely rebuilt soon thereafter taking six years to complete. We visited the church as we left Bergen to go to Trolltunga.

This is the view of the Antrim coast from Torr Head. We visited there and walked to the headland from the nearby car park. The view is to the southeast towards the fabled glens of Antrim, Glendun between the two headlands in the photo. We often visited Torr Head with family or visitors when we lived in Northern Ireland, so the place holds many memories for us.

We took a drive along the north coast when we were in Northern Ireland earlier this year, stopping at some places we had visited many times before as well as some new places. This was a place we had visited many times, a headland called Torr Head. The views here are magnificent. Further along the coast Fairhead is visible and on the right of the photo the Scottish coast is visible.
