This is a terrible photo, one of those "quick-draw" ones, but it's also one of the funniest things I saw in Japan last year. This dandy and his obviously pampered Shiba Inu dog were being pulled around a Shinto shrine by rickshaw. The man was covered in silk and seemed to be role-playing, on the order of Japanese nobility.

One of my favorite sights is dogs driving! On the left is Duck the Lab, who is really goofy, as all Labs are. On the right is Opal the border collie. She is a good girl, but a little too hyper for me! (What else would a border collie be?)

There's always that question from the back seat. This is Brick, the Karelian bear-hunting dog, a very rare breed. Very sweet natured, unless you're a bear!
