That gives me a start - I usually like to do an image search to ID all my vehicles, but I didn't even know which decade to look in for this one. They pretty much look the same - haha!

It is so much fun to read all of your nostalgic comments! I agree, it would be so much fun to see the VW beetle brought back - if only as a limited edition. I think VW would sell loads of them very fast!

I can narrow it down to two model years.
With no crescent vents behind the rear side windows, it is pre 1971.
With four lug wheels it is 1968 and later.
Small turn signal pods would make it 1968 or 1969. : )
My parents traded in a red 1968 beetle to get a brand new 1970 Microbus when their family was growing. It was their first brand new vehicle.
