➽ Cathedral of Augsburg, west, Romanesque part (PiP)
Looking north from the city center you'll spot the unique shape of the Cathedral of Augsburg. The Cathedral is divided into two parts: The old Romanesque building (995 - 1065) with its unplastered masonry and the two towers in the West. Connected to it in the East rises the Gothic chancel (1356 - 1431) with its important groups of figures, located at the northern and southern portals. More information, engl.
