➽ Die Aktion "Augsburger Stadtsommer" 2026 läuft von Mai bis September und verwandelt die gesamte Stadt in einen riesigen Open-Air-Kulturraum. Ein Teil davon ist diese 5 Meter breite und 2,20 Meter hohe Sandskulptur - mit Nachbildungen aus der Augsburger Skyline. Das aus etwa 25 Tonnen Sand geformte Kunstwerk wurde von der internationalen Künstlergruppe Sandcity erschaffen und kann bis 07. Juni bewundert werden. Neben der großen Skulptur gibt es eine Sandspielfläche zum Burgenbauen, Liegestühle und verschiedene Mitmachaktionen. (PiPs) _______________________________ ➽ The Initiative "Augsburger Stadtsommer" (Augsburg City Summer) 2026 runs from May to September, transforming the entire city into a vast open-air cultural space. Part of this event is this sand sculpture - a 5-meter-wide and 2.20-meter-high replica of parts of the Augsburg skyline. Crafted from approximately 25 tons of sand, this artwork was created by the international artist collective Sandcity and can be admired until June 7. Alongside the large sculpture, there is a sandy play area for building sandcastles, as well as deckchairs and various interactive activities.
