Fort William on Loch Linnhe
Fort William, the gateway to the UK’s highest peak ‘Ben Nevis’ has a lot to offer the traveller. On the shores of Loch Linnhe to the west and the mountain of Ben Nevis to the east, few people cannot be awed by its splendours. Glen Nevis valley, home to Steall Falls and the nearby Nevis Range Mountain Resort has ski runs and forest trails. In the town centre, the West Highland Museum focused on regional life and history. To the northeast, Ben Nevis Distillery explores whisky production. Just out of town is the impressive Caledonian Canal entrance and Neptune's Staircase with the splendid Glenfinnan viaduct just a little further north west..
For us, to see it in this weather is almost a miracle as it is known to be one of the wettest towns in the UK.. PiP

You've gained a bit of reputation for making it rain when you go on holiday, so this is all the more impressive :-)))
I like the view of Ben Nevis in the PiP as well.
Enjoy the rest of the day my friend. Regards, Keith :-)
Herb Riddle club has replied to Keith Burton clubOh dear, methinks I have maybe overdone the wet weather excursions part of my life here but I tell no lies! My moody wet and dark weather shots, in many cases enhances the scenes they depict I think too. - This scene, like many others I have done like it, always benefits from a low viewpoint and I must admit this almost clear blue sky helped a lot. Glad you liked the PiP. Tomorrow I will post a better view of Ben Nevis.
Best Wishes. Herb
