Castle Stalker delight

Castle Stalker delight
After being reminded of this castle we visited in 2016 by our friend Roger (Grisly) I thought I would take another look through my collection to see if I had others to post. Here is one that I particularly like.

Castle Stalker, standing on a small Island in Loch Laich off Loch Linnhe between Oban and Fort William in Scotland. Built around 1320 this is one of Scotland's most scenic castles and indeed historical small castles being held by both the Stewarts and the Campbells.

Such a well composed image Herb.........the rocks and seaweed in the water makes for an interesting foreground. The castle and its reflection look splendid in the sunshine and I love the look of the distant peaks.

Great to read your comments to my photos again Keith. A while now since we were here. I took a lot of nice photos but only had one on Ipernity. Reminded of that today after seeing Rogers photo. Yes a little sunshine and blue sky works wonders to a scene like this which as you imply was quite magical.
