Garden Bicycle

Garden Bicycle
Seen in a Normandy, France cottage garden. As the front tyre was flat ? I imagine this more of a garden showpiece than a practical ride to market. A very French ritual!

A wonderful and interesting picture, which I like very much!
From what I could see, the chain is rusty too, so maybe the last journey to market with a basket full of onions, (plus a few more round his neck), was when the onion crop was harvested!

What a great find Herb...........such a lot to look at and enjoy. The bicycle certainly seems to have been there a while, but it's not too rusty and seems to be in quite good condition.......and as uwschu has pointed out, the tyre is only flat at the bottom!

I like the two hand-made baskets and the blossom above the bike. Nice one!
