Happy Bench Monday

A very familiar bench. This is as far as I can get my sister to walk from Woodhead Dam before she wants to turn for home :-)

It's also the place I turned to her and said "What's that bird ?" and she said Great Grey Shrike and we started a Twitch with birdwatchers from all over the area arriving to see the bird in the next few days before it disappeared never to be seen again

Agreed. And I've never been bothered by overhead cables and actually use them in some shots for compositional balance.

A very important aspect to this big valley as the National Grid send their cables through the tunnels near here towards Yorkshire on the other side of the Pennines rather than clutter the hilltops. A necessary evil perhaps which I would rather avoid in a photo but sometimes there is no getting away. Glad you liked it.
