A winters card

A winters card
Greetings from the winters of old. When snow was snow and we could afford to heat up our homes. At one time in our lives, we seriously considered purchasing one of the houses in that remote row, not a million miles from where we are now. We did not, as we thought access to and from the house would be very difficult in Winter but we have seldom had a lot of snow since this shot. Ah well –life goes on.

Enjoy the day with the promise of a grand future!

I love your composition here Herb............and you've exposed for the snow beautifully. The winter sunshine is gorgeous. I love the detail in the foreground, which gives some more depth to the scene and the house and trees look very nice indeed.

A very attractive scene and shot sir!

I was lucky this day Keith and too quite a few nice photos in these conditions which lasted a few days if memory serves me correctly. Good that you enjoyed it.

Cheers. Herb

I would buy that card Herb! What a beautiful scene! I remember the snow of 2010 very well. I have always fancied living on Exmoor, especially beautiful when it snows, but you get to a certain age, and realise it's best to stay put ;-))

Sunday greetings, Rosa.

Wonderful shot! I was living in St Day in 2010 and remember the snow well, especially as it hadn't been experienced quite like that in Cornwall for many a long year!

A wonderful snowy scene. 2010 was a longer lasting cold period than recent years.

Hi Herb
I like this picture very much!
It is a very different and exciting composition, made by that snow drift in the bottom left corner.
Maybe you could give it to the home owners for their Christmas card!
Best Wishes, and stay safe!!
