Wast Water from the south

Wast Water from the south
The English Lake District. A view of this wonderful wild lake from the very south west shore. The way around the lake from here is either along a very rough scree path which is slippy and a little dangerous on the right or through the woods on the left (Low Wood) and then along the lakeside path which parallels the minor but sometimes busy road. That is where most of the visitors here walk, us too! We are looking towards Yewbarrow and High Fell. England's highest mountain Scafell Pike sits just out of sight to the right here.

Enjoy full size.

Another for your album perhaps Keith. Yes, it all came together here for me and also for you it seems. Again you honour me with such praise.

BREATHTAKING!!! I had to just sit and stare at this for a while, taking in the beauty of it all while I read your description. It must have been a fantastic day for you guys, 5 miles and a picnic in the middle...how nice! Definitely a place I'd love to see in person some day!

I would not say we know it very well but Eileen had done some research and we had a nice printed walk from the internet with us too with full explanations and guidance. Yes, boots and wet stuff essential but not as essential as the picnic and camera! We had been around here twice before but never a walk like this to this far end. Just a car -walk of a few hundred yards :) We did about 5+ miles this day
Glad you liked it of course.

You take care too. Herb
