Runswick Bay at low tide
Another village of character on this North Yorkshire coast as seen from the cliff path on its southern flank. We have walked from the village to here over the sands and climbed a lot of steps to this point. Our destinations is Sandsend village. We have a nine mile round walk here.

Another smack on shot.... Cheers from Dj...
Herb Riddle club has replied to David G Johnson club"The original fishing village was almost completely destroyed by a landslide in 1682. Remarkably, there were no fatalities, as the village was alerted by two mourners at a wake. The village was rebuilt, slightly further to the south, perched on the side of cliffs." Wiki
All that being said, it is still quite charming with a nice cafe near the lifeboat station that you can still see on here.
Keep safe. Herb
This splendid panoramic image is a beautiful example
We can observe all the small details of the coast, the village well nestled in the rocks and its surroundings
Low tide is always a discovery
You are a great hiker, Herb!
