Thank you Malik. The rock is indeed volcanic as we saw much more of this in the nearby hills. It must have been quite active here not too long ago,

The title was easy as this bay of Portor is really called 'Whistling Sands'. As you know, I have always tried to add an appropriate title to my shots. Nothing worse than just the default camera photo number. Glad you like the scene too.

Hi Keith, back from my week in Wales now. Good that you enjoyed this rock and log so. This was one of the few times we had sun the whole week -at least it was cool enough to sleep OK there. More snaps to come of that week.
