Teides - Volcanic splendours.
The centerpiece of the Island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. This place on Earth has to be seen to be believed. A cablecar runs almost to to the top of this volcano which is also covered in snow during some Winter months

I have been there for 6 months , from December '95 to May '96. It was a year of snow, they say it's every 7 years. Before I came back I went to the Teide and I saw El Roque Chinchado, this one :-)

My second time at this spot Daniela, but only for a day on this occasion as part of a cruise. Must be nice to spend so many months in this place which I thought most exciting. Did you go up the cable-car? Anyway, glad you like this oldish shot from me.

I spent there the whole Winter, a very different Winter, but at a certain time I missed the change of saison. If I think on that now .... No, no cable car, I don't never knoe if there was one and where.

That must have been some time ago then Daniela, the cable car has been there since 1971. I wanted to go up on my first trip but strong winds had closed it. I loved this moon-scaped area all the same. Cheers, Herb

It was in '95. I did not see it. I did not go up the mountain, made the tour of it.
