Wind Swept Cosmic Mountains BBW 56

Wind Swept Cosmic Mountains BBW 56
This was a look see wide in planning to see what is about, this formation as a surfer stood out as a shark fin. You are looking at an area that is not normaly imaged if I had not got out to a wide view I would never have seen it at all.

So I had to wait for this to come up, you are looking at a panorama of 3 vertical shot to get the whole mountain in. This is a very Hydrogen rich area hence all the red so this is in the pallet Ha Sii Sii all red components.

Mid way I got the remnants of a cyclone but dumping Clouds and rain down our way. So I got the chance to bring in the Scope to clean the Mirrors and then rebuild ready to shoot again.

This is the lining up with the camera that sits in the Focuser looking in (The Red part in the middle ) all the part are rebulit to match the circle of the bottom of the focuser. its worth noteing the mirror in the picture is eliptical not at all round you have to get the view round ( see shot below).... that is the black frame in the middle with a view of the main mirror in view and the red camera and sensor. The main big area of white is a A4 sheet of white paper so the small secondary mirror stands out.

They certainly not your average photo you would expect to see on Ipernity and In part why I put here for those who would be interested. This is OUR ARM part of the milky way up close and that is a whole other story.... Many thanks and truly glad you enjoy the shots.

Thank you I think that we really dont know what is out there this was some thing I never expected to see. Its not the usual suspects that we would see every day and I only found it by accident but it gives me a whole new way of looking. Glad that you like the image has grown to be one of my fav.

Just amazing. You show us things that we are unlikely ever to see ourselves. Thank you so much Steve.

Amelia in part why I chose the difficult method of shooting to really see just what is out there and can be images from my back yard. Its certainly not for every one there is such a lot that you have to learn and take in but once you get it right there is so much you can shoot, dare I say the sky is the limit. you are most welcome why I put these shots up here for those interested and know just what it is they are looking at. Not your average type of shot you will see on ipernity.

Thank you Chris I am the one who gets shocked each night I try a new target just how easy it really is, BUT having said that there is the last 5 years of learning make this one easy. That does not mean I dont get thrown a curve ball now and again but it does mean I have seen most and can get myself out of "trouble" . I never make the mistake I know it all there is nothing left to learn and sit on my hands.

You are most welcome to some thing I enjoy and think worth shareing for those who are interested. For as long as I can I will keep imaging and posting just what I find. Glad you like the shot...
