Wedge tail Eagle
As we drove down the road I saw this huge bird on the fence post David braked hard "we got to get a photo of that". We both did not know what it was but flat out trying to get ready. The bird flew to a tree next to the road as we backed down to get a closer view. It took off as we climbed out and i looked for it on the other side of the the road a big road train was traveling, next minute there was a loud thud as the Eagle bounced of the windscreen fell into the cutter on the side of the road. David said "oh we have to rescue that Bird", I replied "you see the size of those claws and that huge beak, no way its sitting on my lap to anywhere".
In the end I walked slowly on the other side of the fence to see how the bird was in the gutter. As I Got close it moved next to the road away from me. I took three photo very quickly , thankfully it flew away. The bird was huge once the wings went out to fly away, they are not a common site to us both our very first we have seen.
