I mosaici più celebri, collocati nelle due pareti sottostanti e in posizione speculare, rappresentano il corteo dell’Imperatore Giustiniano e della moglie, l’imperatrice Teodora che recano in offerta la patena con le ostie e il calice con il vino dirigendosi verso il Cristo Cosmocratore del catino absidale. Si tratta quindi di un omaggio alla divinità da cui trae origine il loro potere sulla terra. Infatti, nonostante una certa verosimiglianza dei tratti somatici (si ritiene che i loro volti siano stati copiati da ritratti spediti da Costantinopoli), Giustiniano e Teodora sono raffigurati frontalmente e con il capo circondato dall’aureola e si presentano a loro volta come immagini simboliche e astratte.

A differenza che nel pannello di Giustiniano, in quello con Teodora si trovano alcuni elementi d’arredo che collocano la scena in un ambiente più definito: in alto a destra è infatti visibile un velo tricolore, a sinistra una porta parzialmente chiusa da una tenda, una fontanella con la colonnina scanalata e, sullo sfondo, al centro, una nicchia decorata “a conchiglia”. La sovrana indossa sulla tunica bianca una clamide color porpora decorata in basso con le immagini dei Re Magi. Porta sul capo un prezioso copricapo di perle, su cui poggia il diadema, anch’esso di perle, oro e pietre preziose. Le due dame alla sinistra di Teodora sono identificate come la moglie e la figlia di Belisario.

The most famous mosaics, placed in the two walls below and in a mirror-like position, represent the procession of Emperor Justinian and his wife, Empress Theodora, who are offering the paten with the hosts and the chalice with the wine heading towards Christ the Cosmocrator in the apse basin. It is therefore a homage to the divinity from which their power on earth derives. In fact, despite a certain verisimilitude of their somatic features (it is believed that their faces were copied from portraits sent from Constantinople), Justinian and Theodora are depicted frontally and with their heads surrounded by a halo and are in turn presented as symbolic and abstract images.

Unlike in Justinian's panel, in the one with Theodora there are some furnishing elements that place the scene in a more defined environment: on the top right is in fact visible a tricolour veil, on the left a door partially closed by a curtain, a small fountain with a grooved column and, in the background, in the centre, a niche decorated "shell". The queen wears a purple clamide on her white tunic decorated at the bottom with images of the Three Kings. She wears a precious pearl headdress on her head, on which rests the diadem, also made of pearls, gold and precious stones. The two ladies to the left of Theodora are identified as the wife and daughter of Belisarius.
