Scarlet tanager - Piranga olivacea

Scarlet tanager - Piranga olivacea
Quite far away in the forest behind my house.
30 April 2020 - I saw a female tanager. Maybe they are planning to stay here for the summer.

Ulrike Bohra, Nouchetdu38, Fred Fouarge, Jörg and 20 other people have particularly liked this photo

Thanks for the visit, Esther. I doubt he'll stay here for the summer. My field guide shows their breeding range doesn't come this far south. (Maybe he can't read.)
