I have posted this recent photo because it is of the last day when I felt cool this month.

Just looking at the reflections helps!
We've had a reprieve from the heat this week but temperatures are going up again, so I feel with you!

We always have a walk along the canal when we visit Newbury, which we normally do a couple of times a year. It's really lovely and there's always something nice to photograph as this lovely image shows.

Very nicely composed and taken Amelia. The reflections are especially beautiful.

The heat is getting to us as well..........it's so draining and we haven't been out as much as we would normally. Trying to sleep is the worst I think.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend Amelia as much as you can. Stay cool..!!

We are sweltering here, and my beautiful garden is turning crispy. Being on a water meter is a nuisance at the moment, but Adrian has finally agreed that I can water the herbaceous borders later thus evening - it must be bad. ;-))) I don't feel quite so guilty as I've just wandered down the garden to check the latest damage, and one of our neighbours fas filled a paddling pool for the grandchildren. Keep cool Keith.

In our town the council has changed the municipal planting schemes: there are ever more drought resistant mediterranean plants which thrive even beside big roads. Our zoo/ botanical garden has replaced all their perennial borders with steppe plants. There's also a lot of thought going into plans to replace dead trees or rejuvenate woods with species that will survive climate change.

I hope your garden will survive the heat!

A super serene photo with lovely reflections that makes me want to have a go and hire a narrow boat! The heat is horrible at the moment.
