Do you like my new outfit?
Today's Sunday Challenge: AMUSEMENT.
This almost fully grown lamb had obviously got caught up in some goosegrass, and seemed to be asking me for approval. It will soon wear off and will do no harm. It can be a nuisance if the seeds get stuck in clothing and one brings them into a cultivated garden. It isn't called 'sticky willy' for no reason. ;-))
Galium aparine is known by a variety of common names in English. They include hitchhikers, cleavers, clivers, bedstraw, goosegrass catchweed, stickyweed, sticky bob, stickybud, stickyback, sticky molly, robin-run-the-hedge, sticky willy, sticky willow, stickyjack, stickeljack, grip grass, sticky grass, bobby buttons, whippysticks, and velcro plant.
