A Puddock sat by the Lochan's brim. (PiP)
A 'Puddock' is a frog.
A 'Lochan' is a small pond or lake.
Around this pond were wood carvings, one of a toadstool (just seen in the background), one of a frog, and another of an owl. I haven't been able to find out who the wood carver is - yet.

Amelia club has replied to William Sutherland clubA lovely place- I like the leaves on top of the ice! You managed the PiP- congrats.-)
Amelia club has replied to Gudrun clubI am devastated that Ipernity is going under. There have been many suggestions, but I'm afraid that, unless someone buys the company outright, the show can't go on. I gather you are going back to Flickr. I just don't know what I'll do.
Gudrun club has replied to Amelia clubYes I agree, someone would have to buy, which is something I can't see happening- who wants to run a business that doesn't generate enough money?

Amelia club has replied to William Sutherland clubAmelia club has replied to Ian Wood clubListening jogged memories of reading it at primary school. Incidentally, have you tried Billy Kay's 'Scots, the Mither Tongue'? Very interesting, I thought, both in relation to my childhood speech and to Norwegian.
