About TigerHead club

Hello Friends -

My account with Flickr was deleted on July 8th 2009 completely - though to my knowledge, all the proper restrictions, filters, adult designations were in order. I had over 700 posted pics, most with stories or pertinent notes attached. Over 100 pieces of original photo art - gone. All without explanation.

I feel Gay folks have been targeted in particular. Most of us are not professional pornographers but would like to have a "community" where we can share photos, stories, and perspectives with each other the world over. Perhaps Flickr just isn't that place. My hope is that Ipernity is a space in which we can function in this manner freely as the proud minority we are, without the intrusion of "majority values," - values long alien to us.

Flicker should be challenged in court. Their incredibly soft and mushy "Community Guidelines" and "Terms of Service" would never survive serious scrutiny in the real world of business, and contract (not to mention service level) agreements. It's laughably written, ill-conceived, and hopelessly ambiguous. An entire group set up called "How not to be deleted..." Downright pitiful.

Anyway - thanks for listening and a big load of thanks for being so welcoming here on Ipernity!

UPDATE: September 22 2009 marked the deletion of my fourth Flickr account - this one having only eight items posted and a lifespan less than twenty-four hours! Perhaps it was deleted this time because of my open criticism of Flickr (not without venom), voiced in my profile and in graphic depiction. In any case, guess I'll keep a nominal presence there for the purpose of keeping up with old friends but post the bulk of my efforts here on Ipernity.

Thanks again everyone for making Ipernity such a cool place to hang out!

I am over the age of 21.
