I don't see why you can't repeat previous themes, perhaps allowing a year or 18 months between. I am sure that I will have ones from the times before I joined the group. Mind you Deborah's list could take a time to work through. What about a 'wild -card' month with photos so unusual that they are unlikely to fit a typical category. I suppose 'What on earth is going on?' could cover that idea.

Have you done 'flying' or 'do-it-yourself' or the olden days equivalent?

Thanks, Deborah and Phil! These are all great suggestions. We do actually end up repeating themes, often inadvertently but sometimes intentionally, as with my "blast-from-the-past" themes. Since there's only a small number of us who regularly post photos each week, my goal is to promote participation by keeping the topic list as varied and interesting as possible while making sure that the themes aren't too esoteric or limited. That's why I've also started a monthly theme--so that there's an alternative for anyone who might not have something to contribute for the weekly theme. I've ended up so pressed for time lately that it's not until Saturday or Sunday that I have a chance to search for a photo to post. And I apologize that I'm often tardy in responding to comments and questions. I do enjoy finding a photo to post each week and then seeing everyone else's contributions, and I hope others find it enjoyable, too. Thanks to all of you for your enthusiastic participation!

Some theme ideas:
- HAIR - in all it's glory or eccentricity
- TAKING CARE OF THE HOUSE AND YARD - house chores
- BOOTS - high button boots, rain boots, farm boots, etc.
- SOMEONE IS NOT HAPPY- pouting, scowling, etc
- INDOOR SHOTS - with a focus on the style of the room
