beaucoup de tristesse partagée

I've been following this on the news............such a tragedy. From what they say, it could have been much, much worse and there is a great determination to restore it to it's former glory!

Elle va renaître de ses cendres ! Quelle tristesse.

A lovely glimpse through the trees. I always love the view of the flying buttresses from the Left Bank and sailing past on one of the river boats. The fire was so awful to watch but it's good to know the stonework has survived and some of the glass. It will rise again.
