Chencho

Chencho (short for Inocencio) is a Spanish dog of (by the looks of him) superb lineage, which seems to point to the Basset fauve de Bretagne breed. He’s also the latest addition to our family.

After leaving Ciudad Real, Chencho had been in transit in Barcelona for a very short time, and I doubt if he got the opportunity of visiting the beach. The North Sea doesn’t have the touristic appeal of the Mediterranean, which shows in that Chencho concentrated on sea food.

Chencho rather liked being there, perhaps because he enjoys a life of illegality: from May on, the beach is closed for dogs. It was still quiet, and we seemed to offend no one.

A rare picture in this series, as it shows some of the photographer himself, reflected by the window pane. The camera is in makro mode, and very close to its motif: no wonder Chencho is a bit shy. Also the dude is blocking his view.

The conspicuous socks are filled by our daughter... My wife returned with her and Chencho from yet another trip to the Netherlands. I couldn’t accompany her this time, and was chencholess for a week.

I happened to be testing the HDR feature of my camera, and inadvertently created some kind of a picture puzzle: find the dog on this photo. I only discovered him after uploading it. I guess this is what photographers call “foreground interest’. ;-)
