Chile Patagonia. Chilean giant rhubarb. Grows 2 meters tall, with leaves 2 meters across. Useful eaten like celery when young. When old made into jam. The leaves also make good makeshift umbrellas!

On the Carretera Austral in autumn, in Chilean Patagonia. Such a special place to have been! Happy isolation and truly hoping you all stay really well. These are awful times. We are in self isolation in our home after driving across a state border 3 days ago. We drove 1200 km in 12 hours to get back before they closed the border. Lots of virtual hugs !

HFF and apologies for absence..crazy couple of weeks. The restored Main Street of the town of Iquique situated in N Chile, bordered by the Pacific Ocean, and the Atacama Desert. Travel memories… Keep warm and hopefully dry, or cool if you live in a hot climate, like here! Best wishes.. Diana
