Beachside grass

I don't claim to be able to identify this grass type, but it's helping to stabilise the dunes on our local beach.

With Covid restrictions largely off (for now at least), I'm heading away for a few days and expect to be largely offline. I hope you're all having a safe and enjoyable weekend.

Things are tightening up again here with the new variant. Hospitals are full and people are a bit more cautious.

In the UK Marram grass is used to stabilise Dunes, but this isn't Marram. It looks similarly spiky though, and that in itself is enough to discourages folks from roaming on the dunes.
