I love your New Zealand gallery, George. Can't imagine how I managed to miss it. This is magnificent.
Talking of camera mishaps, I was changing a lens once on a beach, and a big friendly dog nudged my arm, the telephoto lens fell out of my hand, rolled quickly down the beach and straight into the sea. A goner! I try never to change lenses when I'm out and about now.

Many thanks, Amelia. The NZ South island is a photographer's paradise. Sorry to hear of your lens loss, I had something very similar happen to me when at Macquarie Island long ago. I was on a large rock and put my 50mm lens beside me while I used the telephoto - looked down just in time to see it disappear into the depths!
