It looks very filmy to me - not at all a bad thing.

Re Flickr, I pretty much stopped posting there since they decided that my home page needed several photos posted in randomly chosen groups I belong to, plus strangely chosen photos from people I have never heard of, suggesting I make them a contact. All this is done in two columns, not the one simple one from before. It became difficult to find newly posted photos from my existing contacts, and even then, if I click on one it doesn't take me to the page so I can see their description - I have to click twice for that. It just puts up some sort of floating screen with the picture on it, and if I recall, some of the cluttered background around the far edges.

Some of my contacts say that they don't have the same problem. I don't know, but I check periodically and it's still there. I know that Flickr doesn't have my current credit card, so when my Pro membership is up I expect they will delete the account, or most of my pictures, at any rate.

Yes, once Yahoo took over, they messed up Flickr pretty badly. But no, I don't think they will delete your account or pictures. Mine are still there -- I keep meaning to transfer/delete them, but it will be a while until I get to it. In the meantime, people still keep following me -- apparently having changed my username to "Sarah Paris has moved to ipernity" isn't clear enough!

ipernity has it's quirks, but for now, it serves my modest purposes, I guess. As it is, I have too little time for photography, much less for posting and following my betters.

Thanks for the response about the picture. I might yet play around with it a bit -- the original appears much sharper to me.
