The luminous glow of the (electronic hoarding?) intensifies the darkness. The waiting/passing cars add more points of light that only paint it darker. It’s a Rhyl Heart of Darkness, or Heart of Carparkness. The focus picks out the red strip and the dirt at the base of the lit oblong. It’s a portrait of a blankness. It’s strange, unsettling.
