Thanks Kenny. Yes the link gave some general information about Castles,Shrines and Temples but no specific dates as to when they were built. I have been looking on and off since 2009 when I last went to Japan, even Japanese Web sites where Iwould need to translate first.

I was particularly interested in the Matsubara Shrine in Himeji Prefecture because I went there two days running to see the festival, when I took a quick look online at the time there was a huge artical in Wikepedia, that has been revised partly due to incorrect info and a mixed bagof bits added by viewers, now there's basicall nthing other than a few stubs. Sometimes brief descriptions with age - date etc, can be found on travel sites.

Yes Kenny, if you have the time to do so I would be greatful, date and basic history are the main things. I have several friends living in Himeji, they all know of the festival and the shrine but no more. The oneI know best now live down under in Pam land, Sydney to be precise.

A useful site for students, I called up the English page but it gave nothing. By the way, I tried a search for Nuibuno Shrine, and found my own article and photo album because a few photos from it are viewable by everyone here and earlier on Multply. LOL
