Long time ago, before I end up to academic career, I studied surveying. I learned how to do distance measurements, angel measurements, leveling, and even GPS location, which was rather new at that time. Only skill learned then, which is still in use, is how to type with all ten fingers. That was required in order to write reports and documents fast.

For years I've been listening Chris Brann's version of this song made for Wamdu Musicproductions:

Today I discovered the original made by Tweaker (Chris Vrenna) and featured (vocals) by David Sylvian:

Difficult to say, which one is better. Delightfully different, anyway...
When seeking information on who's behind Mighty Math, I discovered it's Robert Shaw singing lead vocals from the band Swans Way in 1980s:

I was too young and/or in wrong country for this band, but now it really shakes my ground =)
Do also check what else Robert Shaw has been up to later on:

Inspired by The Sunday Challenge "New Year Tradition" (Fortune-telling in this case).
Year ago I got some sort of a seahorse: www.ipernity.com/doc/serola/29292539/in/album/590545
No idea what it could have predicted. Extremely lousy year this was anyway =P
"The tomte/nisse is an echo of ancient ancestral cult. It is thought that the tomte/nisse was considered spirits of previous generations at the homestead, and there are references to them following the family/clan, when they are moving."
