Lightning jet fighter under cover

HFF Roger. Two of my brothers started at the RAE on leaving school.

HFF Rosa; I had friends that started apprenticeships there in the 1960s, my only involvement came much later, on architectural developments. The facility at Farnborough, with The National Gas Turbine Establishment all ceased operations some time ago, but the airfield now operates for business travellers and the bi-annual airshow (on this year too).

One was in the late 60's and my youngest brother was there in the mid 70's. They both still live in that area having met their wives in Farnborough...although one of them is Scottish :-))

They were probably at the RAE when our practice were working on the Mathematics building and the Concord engine test bed amongst other projects. As far as I recall, our last project was a survey of all the establishments and buildings of the RAE, can't remember exactly when, but probably late eighties.
