C'est vraiment beau et agréable au milieu de cette belle verdure et si la table est bonne dans un si beau cadre, c'est donc parfait ! la maison cossue est aussi un vrai bijou !
HFF Chère Rosa bien ombrée si la chaleur sévit chez toi, ici 30° tous les jours et très-très peu de pluie mais orageux. Bises amicales.

It's been a while since I visited Salisbury (certainly not since Covid), and I had no idea about this place. It's a lovely building and looks very popular. Now you've recommended it, we must try in next time we visit.

I love the view of the cathedral in the PiP.................beautifully composed and taken.

I can highly recommend this lovely cafe Keith. Very friendly and good coffee, as well as delicous food, and at a very reasonable price.

My girlfriend recommended it too! She spent 3 months in Salisbury last year doing voluntary work for the foundation at Sir Edward Heath's old gaffe. Sorry I forget both names for the moment! I'll ask Marta tomorrow! I couldn't visit her there due to Covid issues and the day she returned to Spain was the day I finally got clearance to go to Cornwall from Madrid to help out my parents.
She couldn't join me as she has issues with her mother too. So we didn't actually see each other for over a year!

That's really good to hear Andy. The staff were very friendly too.
The visits didn't quite work out for either of you, but hopefully you are making up for it now, both being in Spain again. Absence makes the heart grow fonder...as they say!

Oh, I've been to Salisbury, Rosa, and the cathedral apparently hasn't changed. I didn't notice that restaurant, but perhaps it didn't exist 30 years ago?? ;-)

The cathedral had no scaffolding for a change! It may be the case that it didn't exist 30 years ago Edna.....I can't remember ;-))

Well, I do remember that the cathedral had no scaffolding either when I visited there, Rosa. So the photo I took over 30 years ago looks similar to yours, just more analog ;-))
