A gorgeous display and a nice reminder Spring is approaching, there is small park about a 10 minute walk from me where daffodils are in flower that are always extremely early. I hope you are having a nice morning Rosalyn there is a strong wind but plenty of sunny spells

Thank you Peter. A neighbour gave these to me as she is away for a few weeks. I wonder if she will want the bulbs when the flowers are over! I have seen a few snowdrops today, but not out enough to take a photo of. The same weather here.

Sorry to disappoint you Keith. I have a lot of daffodils in the garden that will soon flower, but they're not quite there yet. I was looking for a large white board to place behind them to take a photo....trying to learn from you....but I couldn't find one so left them where they were and took a picture :-)

Brilliant, Rosa! Spring is here with cheerful colors :-) Or at least in the UK, not here yet ;-) I guess they're in a pot or a flower vase? ;-)

They are indoor bulbs Edna, but the outdoor daffodils, of which I have many, will soon flower.
Not wanting to wish the time away, but I am always pleased when February is over, and then we can hope for everything to blossom again, and for warmer days :-))

Los narcisos tienen colores suaves y bonitos en el primer plano. También en el PiP combinan muy bien con el verde de los tallos, el suave pastel de la pared y hacen un rincón encantador con la cortina florida. Que tengas un buen miércoles.

A BREATH OF SPRING

......Your pretty photo reminds me of that poem by William Wordsworth that I had learned (with difficulty!!!) in high school!!!!!

I think we were all taught this poem at school Nouchet, but in English for a French child, I am impressed! I guess it doesn't rhyme at all in French? ;-))

(By the way, I had good grades in English, which wasn't always the case in other school subjects!........)

I was going to say that your garden is far more advanced than ours, but I then looked at the PiP. ;-) I think this might be a photo of the daffodil called 'Jetfire'. I have it growing in my garden, and the shoots are barely through the ground.

I learned That poem when I was in Junior school in St.Andrews. My teacher was called Miss Sturrock.

'The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:' etc.

Yes you're right Amelia. It was given to me by a neighbour to look after as she's in New Zealand for 5 weeks. I am seeing the best of it :-)

We also learned it in junior school. We had a lovely teacher called Mr Abbott.
