Would like to go there on a boat trip!

I did that last year Volker. It was fun.

A very busy corner Rosa............with lots to look at end enjoy. I love the colours of the canal boats. The gates fill the foreground nicely and with the path lead the eye into the shot. A cracking image!

A popular spot for people to watch the lock in action Keith. It was my first time in a lock last year and I was a bit nervous with everyone watching, but I did have a little help. I was walking down from the very reasonably priced car park in this shot. Thanks for your kind comments.

It is fine until you approach the Caen Hill locks Pat....there are 27 of them going up the hill !!!

The PIP in the lock works but access is denied on the other one, lovely colourful scene as they are painted the same I assume they are hire boats, if you like locks Loxton in Leicestershire has two five lock staircases, they have hopes of rebuilding the inclined plane lift. You can see them both in PiP though can you? Yes they are hire boats Peter. Your county is a bit too far for me to look at locks. Have you see the Caen Hill locks at Devizes...which is much closer for me. Another very busy day for me, but I hope you have a good Sunday.

A pleasant scene of what looks like a busy little marina (is that what it's called for narrowboats?).

I think it is called a marina George. It's a busy one with two pubs either side on this side of the bridge and a cafe and two pubs the other side!

What an attractive place Rosa. It does look very busy, - but my kind of busy if most people are actually in the cafe or pubs! What a great way of life, - peaceful and if you have noisy neighbours you can just move on! Have a great week
