The best of friends.
The sheep and Shetland Pony are great friends since the sheep's companion died last year. They are both quite old and have been with my neighbour since they were very young. The sheep used to be completely black, but old age has turned it grey.

What a lovely story and two beautiful animals. I didn't know that old black sheep would turn grey! You've captured a sweet moment and their expressions are wonderfully peaceful.

Since the sheep lost its companion, they have been the best of friends Diane. I don't suppose many sheep get to live this long, so it's an eye opener for me too that they turn grey! I remember last year the coat was still quite black!
