Mt Tabor - Rule of Thirds - SSC
Mount Tabor is a city park. It is a dormant cinder cone volcano. While it is part of a long extinct lava field, it is still monitored for activity. It is, after all, almost in the middle of Portland, Oregon. I hike the 4 flights of stairs shown here, 4 times once a week. This week I did it in the snow!

Yes, it's snowing. You can see it against the trees if you view it big. I probably should have used a flash to highlight the snow - but who can think after 16 flights of stairs?

thank you. and i'm glad you found it interesting. we live in the valley along side the Cascade Mountain Range (a volcanic mountain range) that runs through our whole state, so we are used to volcanoes! Mount St. Helens layered us with ash, for example. happily it blew the other direction from us.
