Thanks for the ideas. Oh yes, I tried all the modes. And darkening And... And post processed. I think this one had extra issues due to low light and two sources of light. The pillow itself is wonderful.

ISO 1000! =O Difficult light anyway. And was there some electric light? I would then try some of the white balance settings for electric light, but as Isabel said, one can try to fix it later on software.

Oh yes, two kinds of light. I didn't spend enough time on set up. Sometimes a bad photo is just that. But at least i tried!

In this version it begins to live when you are using black background. I like its dark tones.

Thanks. I do think it is better on black. I tried making it lighter, but the richness of the fabric was lost, and it really is a dark fabric, though a bit brighter than shown here.

Sometimes I think its me, not the red. But I'm curious about the science behind the problem. I know about the gray scale getting thrown off, but feel it is more than just that. I mean is was always hard on film as well. Glad you like the pattern, me too.

Thanks Andy. Its a very old pillow that used to have a matching couch. It was too much on the couch (at least in my small house), but I just had to keep the pillow.

yes, of course. need a strong light cloudy day, as on sunny days my light is always mottled - another challenge. thanks for the encouragement.

Interesting problem. The opposite of what I always deal with in my pictures: I always find that I have to reduce red in post processing.
