Masterfully shot -- often we try to shoot through the water to see the fish and often we fail! (This picture remindes me of the giant goldfish at Pepsico headquarters in Purchase, N.Y. People take slices of bread and such and toss them to the fish, who swim to the surface and gobble them down with a kind of wet kiss sound that is pleasant to hear.) Did you use a polarizer, or just take advantage of the darker area of reflection?

thank you!

yes, fish in water are notoriously difficult. and yes, i just took advantage of the darker area, like you said. i love reflections in genereal, so i'm pretty conscious of them.

When I moved to Klamath Falls, I was astounded to learn that koi freeze in the winter and come alive when it thaws! Those are tough fish. My ichthyology knowledge is limited. Except for the eating of salmon whenever possible!
