Can You Spot the Egg?
This red gravel area in a Gadsden Mall parkinga area is where a pair of killdeer decided to have their nest, if you can call it that. In this case, basically the egg was just laid in a space between the gravel. Can you spot it? Sort of incredible considering the constant traffic on the road around the mall, although this section of parking is remote and rarely used. I had parked there to go check out a nearby heron rookery.
