Eastern Phoebe Babies (6/27/2013)

Eastern Phoebe Babies (6/27/2013)
These babies are from a clutch of five that are the phoebes' second clutch of the year. The nest is on the turn of a downspout right next to my garage door. The phoebes seem unperturbed by the frequent noise and traffic passing underneath every day because they used the same nest last year. Five babies from the first clutch fledged in late May so the phoebes have been busy birds. Etowah County, Alabama (IMG_0620)

The phoebes had two clutches in 2012, I did not photo the 2nd clutch

.. feed me .. feed me ~

Just visited the Carousel group again - I see something different each time.

Re: the white Pelicans -- there was a gull walking past (with bread in his beak) in the photo just before this one - people were feeding the gulls -

Pelicans prefer a fresh catch ~ They are fascinating to watch .. they fish as a group .. unlike the Brown Pelicans who dive solo for their meal.

Thanks for all your visits and comments ~

You're welcome. I have quite a few more photos to add to my carousel album but haven't been able to find the time to select and edit them yet.
