Yes we do, but I rarely see them. I have probably not seen more than 5 or 6 in the 10 years since I have lived here and all but one of them were dead and tiny. This one was somewhat larger - slightly more than an inch. But a couple of days after I found this one in the kitchen sink, I found another dead one on the floor in the kitchen (may have been done in by my dog) and two in a rock pile outside.

Aw Rabbit, with all the intrepid adventures you have had and the dangers you have faced, how can be so afraid of a little scorpion, whose sting is no worse than a bee or wasp, that you would take a visit to me off your next world tour? I seriously doubt you would ever come across one while you were here. Alabama is a breathtakingly beautiful state resplendent with many great photo ops. A couple of Alabamians are on Ipernity and have started a group here to show off our great state. Please visit to see a bit of what you will be missing. (http://www.ipernity.com/group/alabama/) (I also have hundreds of Alabama photos in my photo stream.)
