Photos taken on a visit to Michelham Priory near Hailsham, between Lewes and Eastbourne. The nick-name for this plant comes from its habit of closing its flowers up, as can be seen on the right of the oval, when the sun isn't bright enough which can be just after it reaches its midday high point. The main parts in this view are the beautiful seedheads. They are similar to dandelions in the way their seeds travel with fluffy parachutes.

The common name arises from the scent of the flowers, although I only found that out when trying to identify it on-line. I didn't notice it when I was close to it.
